Fun ass day today heh........

All was well, got to work 30 minutes early and got to at least read the paper and drink my mocha before the pain, which is pretty rare.

Anyways, it was REALLY lax today, there was only like two planes in today and one didnt even need attention, just a pilot seat issue. The second plane needed new brakes so I get to it. Jack up the plane blah blah blah.

Fast forward 30 mintues, Im deflating the tire, get bored, start staring at a little imperfection in the metalic oleo strut.......BANG!!!!!!!!!!

Im like WTF is that, was it me ??!?? nope...Im good.....I hear people running outside so I stop the deflation.

*suspense* lol Theres a group of guys in South Africa who always fly up here in a Douglas DC-3 Dakota on a single tank and I knew they were coming in today, but I forgot.

Turns out some retarded apprentice drove a small forklift into the the number two prop :yikes:

Thats fine, but bear in mind...ALL the props need to be replaced as these things are incredibly sensitive to vibration and are completely custom fabricated!

Somehow I dont think this dood wont be here on monday :eek:

Oh yeah, too keep this POS thread on topic lol, I ordered some SPAX PSX suspension :D, cant wait as my dampers are beyond shot and the springs up front are sagging..looks like a damn 4x4 lol

Unfortunatly no pics of the damage, but the slightly wedged shape of the forklift's fork tip made a nice gouge mark in the prop. Kinda like when you stick a flathead screw driver in abs plasic :eek:

i wanted to work on planes. Become a mechanic or something but its too fcuking hard to get into here in australia. Qantas is sending all their maintenance to asia where they are doing really bad and bodgey jobs. The planes come back and it is discorvered that damaged electrical wire is connected by staples, hydralic in the planes tail werent maintaned ect ect. (did i say it right 320 or was it etc etc?)

My dad is an air traffic controller and one of my friends works on airplanes for Southwest in Chicago--good money in both if you have the right employer and you work the right amount of traffic.:thumbup:

yeah, 40-60k while youre being RATED! Just to train for the facility...and yeah, about a 130k ceiling that can be obtained quickly at high traffic centers.
