530D 2006 model - television

Just purchased this one, as wondering on if it is possible to enable the television while the car is in drive, it turns off as soon as it goes into drive. any suggestions,

Is that a rear seat DVD or part of your NAV system display?

If it is part of the NAV, in the US it is illegal to have a video playing where the driver can see it.

Might be a programming issue for the iDrive to match US standards.
