I need to replace a RFT because it developed a bubble. I have a little under 20k miles on them. I would like to eventually switch to Michelin PS2's but dont want to throw away the remaining 3 RFT with some good life left on them.
1. Can I combine 2 front Michelin non runflats with 2 RTF on the rear?
2. Can I just replace the 1 RFT with a new RFT?
3. Would I be able to sell 3 RFT with <20k miles on it (good condition)

Option two or three as it is not ideal to mix different types.

Can you elaborate on why? :dunno:

For balanced traction for cornering stability or emergency lane changes/manuvers.

Thanks, now all I have to do is show this message to the wifey! :D
(I currently the Potenza run-flats on the front and Pole Position 960's on the back and want to put the Pole Positions all around)

Gary,
Just to let you know, I got rid of the front Runflats (Potenza RE 050A).
In the back, I had relatively new Potenza RE 960 Pole Positions. I put the same on the front...
What a difference! DTC has not kicked in since I matched all 4 up. The car (Z4) rides much nicer, and more compliant. The handling is very good. The tramelling is gone.
I came home in a Houston rainstorm today, and the car was very stable and sure-footed.
It definitely is better to have all 4 the same. It made more of a difference than I expected.
Thanks again,
