Basically my car has always had a fault code on it "62 Ignition feedback signal", no one knew what th hell it meant, BMW or snap-on. As a recent post I've put up shows I had further ignition problems:
Ignition Problem with codes
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, I've been looking all overt the net for information and I'm getting no where quick!
Basically I've got a 1993 RHD E36 320i Coupe running MS40 (Siemens) management it seems.
I drove the car to my friends, turned it off had no problems with running, no juddering, jumping, stalling anything, ran fine. Got into the car 5 minutes later and it just cranked over and would not start.
So the car cranks but will not start, I used a snap-on scanner and the following codes came up:
01 Ignition Cylinder 1
02 Ignition Cylinder 3
03 Ignition Cylinder 5
29 Ignition Cylinder 2
30 Ignition Cylinder 4
31 Ignition Cylinder 6
62 Feedback Ignition Signal
204 Feedback Ignition Signal
If anyone can shed any light on what the best route to take is I'd be extremely grateful.

So anyway, the water pump broke at the "same" time so i presumed the crank sensor had got water on/in it and broken. So I was removing that to test it, to which i found something "important?" this being the nature of my post.
Basically to all of the coils is a brown wire, that when back in the loom casing all bind together to one thick cable that is the earthed under the inlet manifold i presume, as it wasn't actually screwed down to anything. Presumably was slowly working loose as I did used to get random misfire moments that lasted random amounts of time, 2 seconds to the length of the journey. Now you ask why i didn't fix it then, well i presumed it was head gasket on way out as it was using water but no obvious loss, later to be found only when under pressure ie moving it was squeezing past the water pump bearing.
So I've put it all back together with new water pump/stat and re-earthed this wire to the engine hoist bolt on the front of the engine and guess what... It still won't start.
Again any help would be much appreciated, sorry for the essay but I just like to put people in the whole picture before asking a "could be anything" kinda question.
