Selected performance data is in the owners manual, so take a look in there.

As for 1/4 mile times, though, this car is not a drag car. Such a statistic should not matter to the BMW driver. This car is not built for such a purpose. If you want a drag car, go buy a Mustang, Camaro or Viper if it pleases you.

Our cars are meant for winding, skill courses, NOT the drag strip.

probably about 14.5 - 15.5 seconds stock, assuming you're a competent driver.

although there is AT LEAST ONE supercharged/turboed M3 at the drag strip a week by me...

...and he gets routinely smoked by torqued actual drag cars, right?
I'm not talking handicapping here.

Again, not for the drag strip. Cars have a purpose inherent in their construction. Dragging is not anywhere in the BMW cars.

Around the 13 second mark mate!
My cousins ss ute does 0-100km in the same time as the m3 and does it in 13 seconds.
14 seconds MAX!

...there are exceptions of course mate!

Whats road racing? Where the police close off a road and you race round it?

DominguesE30

haha....although we do close streets for street racing...thats for drag racing. road racing is another term for club racing. which would be LIKE the 24 hours of lemans, or like F1 racing, but with cars...same style track i'm trying to say

I can see why people do it, but that particular statistic is of no real interest to me

i'm sorry to hear that pirate....

actually i got an offer to do a highway pull against a 2003 330ci (manual, stock except a k&n drop in filter)....

i don't know how the outcome will be, so idk if i want to do it....those are what? 245hp?

i mean i've raced 350z's and g35's and have beaten them, but they don't have a bmw motor in them....:eeps:

i think i'm going to wait till i put the cams....and stuff (:eeps: again)....in it and then run the 330

actaully i'm very curious to know how much HP and tourque my car has now with the intake, exhaust, and intake manifold. cause i've raced cars that have 260hp like the 350z and have beat them...but there is no way my car has that much with just an intake, exhaust, and the manifold.

I dont mind about the 0-60 time or 1/4 miles i will never use the car like that mate

I am more interested in power at 2.5k rpm in second and suchlike as that is what i use everyday

Any racing gives you a buzz though :)
