Wow this is a beautiful Alpina B7. I hope that they bring it to the States soon. At least BMW has recognized Alpina as a special tuner.

B7 is coming to the US in another couple of years. ALPINA has already been working with BMW since the 70s. Some of the technologies used in BMW cars today were developed by ALPINA. That includes the Steptronic system, the SMG I system (which eventually led to SMG II), the V8 4.6L engine in the later X5 models were built by ALPINA in the B10 V8 models. That very engine was first dropped into an E36 chassis back in the early 90s, which made ALPINA the first in the world to mass produced a V8 3er. BMW said it was impossible to drop a V8 and ALPINA proved them wrong.

And not to forget the collabrative efforts on the development of diesel engines which won BMW and ALPINA the 1998's 24 Hours of the Nürburgring race in an E36 320D sedan.

And ALPINA is not a <i>tuner</i>. They are an approved car manufacturer in Germany since 1983.

cool thanks for the info. What Alpina model are we getting next? I heard it might be a 5er?

Alpina is into tuning which makes them a tuner, we all know that they manufacture fine cars as well. Alex's website lists Alpina as a tuner.
