Is this a little 'club' or are they your mates??

Would like to see 'proper' photos.

Do you all go into McDonalds after the meet to dine upon fine wine and cuisine

I love calling Calais a Commodore. Owners just LOVE to hear it.

I also like to call WRX by the name of Impreza. They look at you funny but hey, it IS.

My kids have been mentally scarred regarding McDonalds. I must confess that it would not be my first choice for an eating establishment so when my kids used to say 'Ooh look Mum, a Drive-Thru' I used to reply 'no it isn't Kids, it's a Drive-Past' :D

Can you see now why Pirate is the way he is :rofl:

Just try to somehow live through the next 15 years or so and you should be all set!

When I was 30 I bought a 3 year old Porsche 911 Carrera in perfect shape just as it came off lease. I forget the number of the tires (P800's maybe?) but they were quite wide and very sticky, but I STILL managed to break them loose:yikes:and in a car with the engine in back it's kinda hard to get the back(heavy) end following the front end again once it goes it's own way. Fortunately, probably because I grew up driving VW beetles, combined with a large dose of good luck, I got away with my little "indescretion," and now am very, very conscious of how close to the "edge" I am driving. It's a damn helpless feeling when you break em loose and every time you spin around, you see either a big tree or truck getting closer and closer and...

Are you motivated yet?;)

You just think how L.......O.......N.......G you have waited to get rid of those blessed learner plates.

I have always said to my kids when we talk of peer pressure - 'If they told you to put your hand into a fire - would you do it?'. Of course, the answer is 'NO'

Also REMEMBER - it takes AGES to get your licence and SECONDS to lose it. But, more importantly, it takes a SPLIT SECOND to lose EVERYTHING and some things can't be replaced EVER - like a life!

Nicely said Angel . +1 . Your vert' looks MAD !! Congrats onthe rims !

Dom, you just reminded me of how I spun off on a rounabout in a 325i 5-spd once .
There was a Volvo FH12 truck (BIG!) coming in behind me right when I spun out, luckily he new how to drive. But, believe it or not. He had a car carrier trailer, wich had a bunch of Land Cruisers and Honda's on the top side. But what was on the bottom ALONE was a brand new RollsRoyce Phantom ! Blue and Silver !

The horn and brakes were enough to stiff you up ! But when he tirned and I saw the R.R. I just left the car and staired till he powerd off sqeaking all 18 tires !
Remeber though, I had no liscence and I still don't !

Moral is, I got lucky ! Don't push it to the edge on the streets my friend . You could end up hurting yourself or somone else if not both .
AutoX and trackdays are youre medicine ! IMO !

Thank you very much. We saw a friend of hubby's today whom we had not seen for years. He came out to say goodbye to us and saw the car. The first thing he said was 'oooh love those wheels' which was strange coming from him as he is not a car enthusiast in any way. They do stand out somewhat.

I think the only way that u'll eva slow down is by havin' a pretty big crash!! Horrible as that is it really is effective!! My 1st bimmer died when the rear wheel sheered all the bolts and came off on the motorway at 120mph...needless to say not only was it expensive and pant filling it really affected my insurance!! (not least coz the wheel shot over to the other side of the rd and totalled an on coming car)

Once you crash at 90+mph...speed gets a new found respect!!!

I didnt give her the satisfaction, no smile or anything but inside i was screaming "KILLED!"

Yes 18's. did a lot of research and bending the ears of the garage I bought them from. Originally I had Pirelli's but they were rubbing for some reason. I had them changed for Bridgestones and they are perfect. They even have an 'anti-kerb' rubber edge which the Pirellis did not have.

I can't wait for the bumper either. Have been to book it in for spraying - how excited am I
