A/C turning on by itself??

Sometimes when I turn on my car and the AC is on, I will turn it off and then it turns on by itself. I shot off and then turn on again.
Whats going on? it does this sometimes.....is it a computer glitch?

I've been having the same problem over the last year. The dealer can't fix it. They programmed my key so that the AC doesn't turn on at every start now. That minimized the problem but it still happens sometimes. At least my car now remembers the last AC setting. Now if you have it off when you last turned off the car, it'll stay off after you start it. I've brought my car into the dealer several times. They say the same thing everytime, "We cannot duplicate the problem, so it should be fixed."

I hate then the dealer says that they cannot duplicate the problem. Do they think we make these things up?

As for the AC memorizing your settings..was it a key program or a computer reprogram?

It was a key program. They'll first try to shoo you away but let them know that it can be done. That was annoying for a while. Once they fixed it, they said it was a brand new key program. I think that was BS. They just didn't want to do it before. I'm trying to get them to change my reverse tilt to go higher. It is way too low. They said it can't be done but I've heard people said the dealer is able to do it. Why can't they just do it so we can leave them alone? I should give them some lunch money so that they can get something out of it.

I've had the AC run after I turn the car off. I was told it runs so it can dry out any condensation in the unit.
