power surge

ok i was driving my 92 325i and i was going like 40 is and put my foot down a little and it started to accelerate a little but than there was this power surge my foot didnt move but it speeds up pretty fast it was weird and when on full throttle at has weird power surge to its like im takeing my foot on and off the throttle but its all the way down:dunno: wht do you think i could be it happens in both my 92 325i's

Are they both manual or auto? Could just be the Vanos kicking in and out... maybe it's got a sticky valve?

auto but no Vanos

I dont think Vanos is noticable enough to be called a "surge of power"

True enough Philip. It's possible that since they are both auto that they are both low on fluid as well. That would be a typical sign of low tranny fluid.
