Ok Well I think I'm getting serious about this. To those who will say sell the 2.8 & buy an M I can't argue with you my German side says yes - my Irish side says but I like other things about my Z3 Like the color, I have the matching hardtop(thanks Fred) shes a good girl (no offence to the females in the gallery), etc, etc. I have the same problem with beers & wiskeys you know :),
I have found 3 super chargers for E 36 motors (2.8 up to 1999) What is the difference in this motor & mine (M52)??? Will these be adaptable to my 2.8??? What is the down side??
FYI. If these super chargers are compatable I will be selling My Conforti Shark injector software & Conforti CAI. I'm currently leaning towards the Active system as they are in Fla..

Your superior knowledge & opinions are always appreciated...

If AA does the work, you needn't worry about the differences between the 3 Series 2.8 & your car (intercooler piping lengths, etc.).

Before you give Karl the job, check with what Nick Glanzis has to offer at Technique Tuning. I believe he's more turbo-oriented, but he's the guy I got my supercharger software from, so he certainly knows something about them too. He's also in Florida.

If you installed the Shark software in your car, the Shark isn't worth anything to anyone else unless you sell them your ECU too. It's now locked to your ECU.

If it were me, I'd likely go with VF, but I'm not local to AA or Nick.

Thanks I didn't know that and that sorta sucks:mad:So now I will have over $300+ in software that I can't even recoupe a portion of the cost. I thought it worked like the super chip software in our F250, where when I remove it I am then able to reinstall in another like Ford.
I know it can't be used in 2 vehicles at the same time but unloading from 1 vehicle and not allowing it to be used in a similar one is not right. So how much is an ECU???

I have extensively looked at three choices... AA, VF and ESS. The ESS guy was not helpful and quite arrogant, I would not look to spend 6000 with him. Both AA and VF have been great to talk to. VF still has not come out with the stage 2, which is a down side because why not wait and do it at once. The AA guys have it all figured out.

Cheers from Houston

I have a VF SC on my 2.8 for about 1 year and two months now. No problems and runs great!
