M3 16:9 Screen on E39 [Archive] - bimmerfest

Will an E46 M3 16:9 widescreen OE radio fit into an E39? It seems like the front facia of the unit is different (from an M5 screen) although the buttons look the same.

Anyone had experience installing this?

e46 has a specific monitor size for that vehicle, it will not fit the e39.
