Ok so tonight I got pulled over for the first time ever. Was 11:56pm. Offence was 60mph in a 45mph zone. Luckily I got away with a warning. (and nothing was said about my illegal tints.. even better)
But this got me wondering what's the fastest you've ever been clocked at, or ticketed at??

it's long done with. that was a few years ago. my record was spotless until that moment so the judge just gave my a $500.00 fine and 6 demerits instead of taking my license away. That learned me up real quick......:)

80 mph in a 50 mph,... state trooper on top of all. Thank God, my baby was sick, screaming bloody murder in his car seat -( that is why I was rusking from the doctor office to my wife- she went to the pharmacy and got some medication for the pain )
I told him I did not have time to wait, told him he had my plate and to send me the ticket in the mail...!!!
I would still be in jail, had I not had my baby with me.
By the way, it came in the mail.
Pleaded no contest, paid $120 fine and with the rigth connections ( my best friend is a DA), got it out of my record...
Will not do it again, though... all my kids are grown up!!! and no one is to ever tell them what daddy did... LOL!!

When I was a reckless 16 year old with a month-old driver's license I was clocked at 114 in a 45 on a long straight stretch oh US Highway 80 on the way out to Tybee Island at about 3a.m one night. The cop let me go becuase I worked at a restaurant that fed Tybee police for free, and I happened to be wearing my wok shirt.

83/55 on the way to my wedding 9 yrs ago. Before my BOS-ZUR flight (starting honeymoon) I dropped the fine in the mail and never heard from it again.
67/45 recently ;) First ticket in 3 yrs so I was able to keep it off my insurance.

Strange but true:
I was clocked going 124 mph on the interstate seven years ago in my Eclipse. I was on the way to the scene of an assault on my wive. She had been knifed in a parking lot, and called me before calling the police or an ambulance.
When the cop pulled me over I jumped out, told him what had happened and let him know that he could either lead me there or chase me down, but I had to go. I jumped back in my car and took off, he passed me with his blues on, and I followed him all the way to the scene, running red traffic lights all the way.
After my wife had been stabilized and they'd taken their reports, the same cop took me aside and told me that I should have called them when I left the house to give them warning.

Similar situation happened to me a 2 years ago in my POS Mercury Tracer. I was at work, received a call from my Mother that my then 4 year old child had taken some of her medication. (Mom has Viral neuropathy and takes about 30+ pills a day to manage it) Mom said she was on her way to the ER nearby the house and that is 33 miles from work. I rushed from work, (5 minute walk from car) and hopped in the car. About 1 mile on Rt.9 A state trooper pulled me over. I did the same as you. Told him what was happening and said you can chase me down or get in front to clear the way but I have no time to waste here waiting for a ticket. I immediately started the car up and pulled out into traffic. I can't say how fast I was going cause the speedo stopped at 85 but I do know the car would not go any faster than I was going. I made it to the hospital in 18 minutes. the officer did pass me with his siren and lights on, and stayed in front of me the whole way. He even came in to the hospital to make sure I was telling the truth. The officer told me to call ahead first next time, wished my child well, and left. No ticket, no warning. When I came out from the ER with my daughter and went to my car to go home, I found a rather large puddle of coolant under the car. I popped the hood and found a very large, and very noticeable crack in the head from the sustained high speed. needless to say the car was traded in the next day.

never been clocked or caught doing more than 10mph above speed limit while driving.
I was clocked once doing 97mph on my ar5e on the Mondello race track. Paddy Burke the driver of our side car straighted the sidecar outfit up to quickly coming out of the last fast bend. There is a radar trap about 30 metres after this bend so I hate to think of what speed we were doing when he dumped his pillion.
That cost way more than any traffic ticket. Full set of racing leathers, dislocated shoulder, two broken fingers and bruising so bad I could sit down for a week:rofl:

Never been caught, but the maximum I've done is 50 in a 20 (with speedhumps), and 90 in a 50. It's rare I do anything like that, apart from the motorway, I generally keep within 10%+2 mph of the speed limit.

The war in Iraq had been over for a few days and we were still stationed at Shaibah airfield.
I was a tank mechanic at the time and we had to move them from one end of the field to the other
There wa no brass around cos they were all kissing arse somewhere near the back so we spent the day ragging AS90s up and down the airfield
We got one up to around 50mph
Bear in mind, they are about 60 tons!
As far as back in the real world, I got a ticket for doing 55mph in a lorry a few years bak.
It wa a single lane carriage way and i wa driving a HGV and the limit is 40mph for lorries.
I don't really speed too badly, seen too many RTAs for my liking!! :(

Whats a lorry? And HGV and AS90?
buster318is
10-10-2007, 08:00 AM
Lorry is what you'd call a truck
HGV is a heavy good vehicle - generally 10 tons+
And an AS90 is a self propelled gun (a tank with a big barrel on it!!) used by the British Army

buster318is
10-10-2007, 08:06 AM
Not really
The law does state that a lorry can't be in the third lane on a motorway and we sometimes get 'crawler' lanes for when there is a incline but this is just generally when one road turns into a two lane road when going up a hill.
We don't as much land as u guys........ lol

That wa actually the american army but I get your point!!
The British Army are a lot less 'in your face' than the american army and we would have have been crucified if we caught driving a tank like that, hence why we waited for the brass to dissapear before we messed about
When I wa there, there was a lot less cars and a lot more gunfire 2!!! lol

Without doubt the best track for sidecars except for Brno in europe. It has at least 3 places on the course where you can overtake but your timing must be perfect.
They have also extended it a couple of years ago so that it is now capable of holding FIA races.

Its not often I feel the need for speed but the German Autobahns are only 2.5 hours away.
The sad this is now alot of the autobahns are no longer unrestricted speed limit.
In the czech republic you dare not go even 10kph over the limit. The police here are absolutely adicted to giving out tickets. I forgot to carry my driving license at the weekend (left it in my jacket at home) while taking a friend to the airport. Told the police officer that if he gave me 5 minutes I would go home and get it or produce it at a police station. He was very polite (usual when they are being arseholes) and told me that I must pay the penalty. Thankfully the new EU law prevents them from collecting on the spot. I'm absolutely certain half of the penalty fines went in their back pockets. 15 euros now is minimum.

Clocked? 140 in a 55 (back before the 55mph national speed limit was repealed). It was night and I was the only car on the road. The cop turned his lights on, but turned them back off and never pulled out.
Ticketed? 82 in a 55 (little more than a year ago - traffic was doing 75, so its not like it was extreme). Got off with a fine and online driving school that ate up three hours of my B'fest time. I have my car's OBC set to beep so I don't exceed 85 (were the big fines start around here) without noticing it.

Another time I was clocked at 175km/h in a 50km/h and they set up a roadblock. I only got a warning.
On the highway I passed a highway cop ("Policia Federal de Caminos") at 260km/h and he didn't bother to turn his lights on or chase me down. (I didn't think cops had Dodge Chargers). I was stopped further down the road by another cop who just wanted to take a look at the cars and had some questions about the performance.
They don't give me tickets for that yet I keep getting silly tickets like 70km/h in a 60km/h.

I guess I passed him so he just creaped behind till I got of the exit and when he got my plate he turned his light on. He askd what was the reason for going that fast I tolled him I was trying to get home before it rained and he asked me AT 137MPH and I said mmmmm Yes. Then i got in trouble few more times and almost end up in jell for over a year doing wheelies. It is not worth it. The speedo iis always off by little. i really haven't check on my K7. but on my 05 600 it was off by 9 miles I was reading 176 and the bike really did 167. I think that the new litter bikes will do 180 to 200MPH My friends busa did 207MPH with a computer work and some bolt ons. But the speedo will stop at 187

I can't wait to see the new busa that bike is all new for the 08 and it will kill the zx14. can't wait to ride one. You guys are pretty big on bikes over there in UK. You can buy your motorcycle magazines over here from UK. But they are like ten to twenty buks a magazine. But I think it's worth it because they tell you the truth about the bikes. Over here I personaley think that they pick sides! But that's my opinion and everyone has one!

Looking strictly at the numbers, they're performance is comperable to $200K+ supercars.

umm never pulled over for speeding... yet at least
soon after i got my 325 i topped it at the 128ish mark one late night on a 65 mph freeway
i am pretty good at spotting cops lol and i always seem to be lucky with timing
i think i ****ed myself over saying that =(
got pulled over friday for 70 in a 30 and rolling some stop signs
luckily the cop wrote me a ticket for stop signs only and i have to go to court in a few months and do traffic school
o well i guess its slower driving and good behavior for the next year and a half of my life :dunno:
