They came with 225/40/18 ZR tyres, not sure of make.

Mum had a similar problem and simply changing the make of tyre sorted it out.
Let me know what make they are and we will go from there

Is it possible to change or adjust the stop locks to reduce the full lock instead. Or fit spacers, I'm guessing that would be cheaper then changing the tyres.

Where exactly does it rub?

Against the metal frame on the inside, not the arches.

I got 18s on my convertible with the same tire dimensions 225/40/18 toyo proxes. My rim has an offset of +38 which i think is reccommended, maybe ur offset is wrong and u need some spacers:confused:

Croeseo i Fest - which part of Wales are you from??
I originally had Pirelli's but they were not suitable so they exchanged them for Bridgestones. They are perfect as far as I can tell. Same size as the Pirelli but obviously slightly different in some way. Too technical for me to understand

Strange... I have 19" with 235/35 and have no issue even in my city wich roads are mostly block made.
Maybe you have a wrong offset on the wheel?
