I was fortunate to be away for a cple of days several weeks ago when half of the town im in had their cars destroyed by hail! Apparently hail stones the size of golfballs... I was a bit dubious til I returned home. omg, hundreds of cars just covered in dents the size of tennis balls I would say. Unreal!

I actually didnt realize that they would be covered by the insurance, I thought this was act of god or something but yeah, apparently it is covered.

Well said Cone.

If you cant respect someone elses believes or opinions then you're not entitled to any of your own.

what has happened to this forum in the last month or two. I used to enjoy reading this forum but now all I see is people making stupid jokes or worse, jokes at someone elses expense.

Hmmmm....I can only say that maybe he dosnt like them, because they (including you) have p1ssed him off..

The term 'Act of God' has been a termed used and accosiated with liability and probability (insurance) for many many years. Its a gazzetted term thats used to explain certain unexplainable incidents that occur so insurance companies can write off there losses.

As was all know, insurance companies insure themselves against there own losses.

A classic example of an 'Act of God' is say....the weather service says the skies will be clear and sunny, and out of nowhere a huge hailstorm forms and cause millions of dollars damage.

In Aust, all 'Act of God' incidents must be covered by insurance under Australian law.

Here, where you are not covered is if you say, have a house in a known flood area, you arnt covered by insurance for damage by a flood, but you may be damaged by say hail or wind.

Its pretty much specific terminology.

Yours in Faith

Maybe I should clarify what I said. If you get damage as a result of flooding (resulting from an Act of God) then yes, you would be covered. Such as flash flooding from a major storm.

BUT, if say, you buy / build a house in a known and gazzetted flood area, there wouldnt be an insuance company on Earth that would cover you. It would simply bad buisiness for them.

I know this for a fact as my next door neighbour has this exact issue on his property. He cant get coverage for a small residence on the property as it quite reguly floods, even tho the residence has never gone under water.

I am leaving the fest buddy

I always tell people to leave when they dont like it so that is what i am doing

The fest has changed in the last few months. People bitch and whine all the time about spelling...WHO CARES. They moan if someone asks something that has been asked before, they are rude to new members. The list goes on

Then there are idiots like PhilipWOT that are not here to help but rather to just make stupid comments

I joined cos i wanted to help and be helped with BMWs

I am not gonna ask the fest and members to change, just to accommodate my sorry ass so am moving on

As soon as it is ready i will switch across

I would love to poach most of you guys as you have become my 'friends' over the past year or so but i could not do that to bimmerfest

My goodness, I have read some angry posts before but this beats all :yikes:

I feel your blasphemous comments are not appropriate for this forum as you will most certainly offend some members and that is NOT what we are about.

Also, your language leaves a lot to be desired. I assume the Fest filtered them out

I understand you are really annoyed about what happened to your car - I would be mortified, but, seriously Dude :tsk:

Your obvious anger at the mere casual mention of God reminds me of how the most extreme fundamentalist Christians sometimes act towards "non-believers," not very tolerant and obviously very insecure in their beliefs. Nobody here is preaching to you or demanding that you believe as they do, but there's no need to go off and condemn others religious beliefs that differ from your own.

What any of us might say under our breath (or even aloud:mad:) at the moment we discover the damage is not the same as what we might say in a public forum like this. If you try, you'll probably find that you're able to express yourself without using language that's inappropriate for the situation or your audience. As far as freedom of speech goes, of course we all have it, but I find it pretty cheesy when people use that right to justify their boorish behavior.

Well, put it this way, I would naturally be devastated and no doubt swear under my breath but I would not put it so strongly on this forum.

There is also a difference between freedom of speech and the freedom to use bad language on a public site.

As for 'what's wrong with your language' I'll leave you to ponder and reflect on that one :yikes:

Nothwithstanding the aforementioned posts to this thread, how is your car now? Getting back to her normal self I hope. You cannot believe that balls of frozen water could do so much damage.
