just found a 1984 lincoln continental with the 524td diesel engine in it. For the price, I could not resist buying the vehicle, but I have to admit that I know nothing about that particular engine.
I need to drive the thing about 300 miles, and I need to know what I should be concerned about on the engine itself; however, it seems to run just fine. Im a pretty good hand with mercedes diesels, so the whole diesel experience is not new to me, but this is a somewhat different animal.
