Ever wondered what the "team" approach to your dealer is all about.
Well I got an enlightening review - it is designed to allow money gleaned from a "service" to flow to everyone involved especially if they come back as the vast majority of employees are on commission (75% I am told). Then the team get to share int eh revenue of the "customer" if he comes back or has work done.
I am told I need "Front control Arms" replaced as the bushings are dry and there is "some play". Cheap at $1,500.
I took the car to another dealer and had them take a look - per the MD inspection which demands less than 1/1000" of play they could find no "play" and no evidence of any wear or problems in the steering control arms......?
If the incentive is to carry out work necessary or unnecessary so staff can earn a decent wage - guess what happens.
