Hi,
I have a 1997 323i, Auto, standard,
I've just bought this for a project car, it's straight, avg miles (150,000ks) (85,000m)
I have a list of things to do... this will be driven daily.. On the cards for this car is a little 6psi blower but before that I have a list of stuff to do. What I'm after is anything else I'm missing. I hate spending $$$ twice so please tell me what I should do now, so I wont have to do it properly later!!!!

It's just come back from my local mechanic, They're been over eryhting, I have a new radiator (thanks to the cracked plastic top hose spout (what were they thinking.) The Transmissions been serviced, it has new rotors etc so it's pretty good.

I want to:
18" rims (the roads I travel can be a bit rough), My MPS has 18's so I know they're OK.
Suspension upgrade, Koni?
Exhuast upgrade (I will fabricate my own stainless one)

So then what... Straight into a Supercharger.. DO I need a piggyback ECU or are the BM ones reprogramable (where can I get the codes)

Am I better to upgrade the ECU chip first? What about the diff? Will it hold 350HP?
What about the auto? same thing.....

I look forward to posting some project pics as I go along......

You're going to want a new chip for the upgrades to take full advantage of them, though the BMW one will adjust to some degree.
As for the FI, you might want to check the FI section of the forum. I'm not so much a fan of serious performance upgrades on automatics, but if that's what you want, then what you're thinking of sounds good.
Best bet, in my opinion is getting rid of the slushbox for a standard transmission. No sapping of power. That's probably the most effective mod you could do to it.

Welcome to the fest

I agree with Scandanavian on this one :)
