I have been lurking here for over a month now, and even before I got my new 7, I was reading here about new wheels and lowering. After seeing harjothundal's car, I told my wife, "that is the exact setup I am looking for." I love the look of the Sevas S10's. I have been looking at wheels for almost a month now and I still have not seen anything I like as well or better than these wheels.

My question is has there been any resolution to the quality/recall/safety issues discussed on this forum? I see that the problems began several months ago, and although I know the wheels of the Fed Gov move pretty slowly, it seems like they should know by now whether this was a manufacturing problem or a few isolated incidents. Anyone heard any updates?

What really kills me is that there is a nice set of chrome staggered 22's on my local craigslist for $1799. A smoking price. But I do not want to deal with the aggravation or put my family at risk because I like the look of the wheels.

Any updates?

Thanks, Joe

Your family and your own safety is definitely not work the risk. Even if they change the way they manufacture their wheels the ones you are looking at will be the old style and therefore run the risk.

Bro - if you're looking at Sevas because of price, I'd say stack your chips and get at least a two piece staggered set.

Sevas' S10 is not the only 10 spoke design out there.

After all that's gone down with Seva and the staff replying to threads, I'm convinced there's no way in hell I'd buy, suggest, take pictures, or even dream of them.

Yeah, stay away from the Sevas. From my experience, when one piece cast rims hit a pothole, especially if they have a lip, its over. All it takes is one pothole. So if youre on a budget, you might want to rethink 22"s...Id go for the Asantis or iForged if you do 22s. $2800 for Asantis like that is a sweet deal. If you get one piece wheels, you will spend the difference after the first pothole. But if you put family first, get 20s or follow sunny j's lead and get some factory 21"s...sweet and practical.
