Man, this car is BIG. My hands suffered through quite a workout. But, as usual, the results are worth it.

For the first time used 3M Hand Glaze and P21S Concours Look Carnuba Wax. Took care of about 90% of the swirl marks that the car has already collected.

Some other pics I took while exploring some back roads north of Toronto after the wash:

Looking good

I zaino'd the e46 for the first time this weekend, and maybe next weekend ill do the e65. The only extra thing I did was give it a go around with Griot's Speed Shine

How long did it take you to zaino your E46? It took me just over two hours to wash the car and detail it. I'm thinking several layers of zaino would be downright painful

hmm...hard to say

I started at 11:00am, and ended around 6:30pm. In that time, i did my normal wash, I clay barred, and put three layers of two zaino products, and leaving half an hour for them to dry each time. And then detailing spray in between. I didnt really have any conception of time as i was working, i probably should have.

Zaino was very easy to apply, so I guess it wouldnt be that hard on the e65, just time consuming. Funny, even though it's such a big and bubbly car, I find myself having an easier time cleaning it than the e46, especially the front.

Looks great, Rost...

Did mine over past two weekends... AIO x2 +SG x3 + Souveran/p21s... Used a PC7424...

What I did (http://members.roadfly.com/lowtech/Instructions.pdf)

Great B&W pics, too!

Thanks, LowTech :)

At the moment I'm not mentally and physically ready to follow that instruction sheet of yours. 2-3 hours is the most time I'm ready to spend detailing a car... and it is already too much. People were giving me funny looks when I was crawling around the car with a bunch of towels. Condo's parking garage is not the best place to detail a car :)

When I get a garage of my own, then... :bigpimp:

But the really sad thing - after that "take-a-picture-drive" of mine, rear bumper and part of trunk lid are covered in dust. Need to get a duster :banghead:

rost,

I'd love to make you the moderator here, but this is such a
lonely forum...

:(

Jon, there doesn't seem to be a need in one anyway, but thanks! :) When/if the time comes, I'll be glad to help.
