The one place (Tirerack recommended) that I went to today got really nervous about doing the switch on my 18 inch sport package 35-series rims. I am looking for someone who's has personal experience in doing the same change in the area.

Thanks

Might want to try the next nearest intaller.

The recommended installer mounted and balanced these tires and it cost $180+tax. The rear right tire was 31 lbs off in the GSP9700 roadforce balancer, they even tried to rim match it and it still came up more than 30 lbs off. All the others balanced properly but they needed a LOT of weights (more then 7 ounces each ) and still were borderline (one was 22 the other 26). The installer was pretty unhappy about the amount of weight that was required to get these tires to barely balance. I drove the car for about 10 highway miles since and it seems that the tires are flapping around just like when you have a flat spot. The bad part is that can't tell which tires is causing the issue. The 335 is so well insulated that all I feel is the "flapping" sensation, no real noise. I think there's a sensation through the steering but like I said, this car is kind of muting the sensation so it's hard to tell.

The BMW 335xi with OEM rims was running fine with the stock summer potenzas. I am very dissatisfied with the F1s.

What should I do next?

BTW, I contacted TR and they suggested I tell them which one(s) I need replacing and they will send the replacements out but I am concerned that it could be more than one tire.
And, what if the replacement is also defective? I mean, it costs $45 per tire to mount and balance around here.

It would be very unsual for more than one tire to be defective. Installation *might* be covered in the warranty, but this is getting a bit outside of my area of expertise. My warranty/customer service dept will know more about the specifics. They're available at 1-800-428-8355, ext 360.

Can you check if you received similar complaints from other recent buyers of 18 inch Goodyear F1 All Seasons? If it was a bad batch I'd be ok getting replacements.

Thanks

p.s. I checked Goodyear's website and it seems their warranty includes mounting&balancing.
