View Full Version : I wonder if Alan/Charlie are catching any crap for "everyone" defecting over here?

It's kinda' hard to promote good-will among fellow BMW owners when you have an Admin Nazi administering your board.

Let's hear it for Clem, the anti-Admin Nazi!!

:D

(I wonder if N*a*z*i* is censored over here? Guess I'm about to find out!).

It's because you guys are the only other guys to have broken 100 posts. It changed at 100. It's "Defected..." up to 99.

Mike--- I think that's a little joke based on Plaz's categorization of TD as a curmudgeon, based on his utter hate of the bugly 02 sedan redesign.

Plaz was FAR from the first to call me a curmudgeon. And I've been called it for a long time, well before the 2002 sedan redesign was ever revealed.

Not self-admitted. But I've certainly been called worse.

Was the admin really that bad back on the .org? Regardless, I drop in there from time to time - Its still a good board. The Fest does rock though! Love this format.

UBB and vB are much better than the bimmer.org format, it was only a matter of time...

I hope you realize, TD, I mean that in the kindest possible way. :)

You're an endearing curmudgeon. Think Lou Grant, or Adam Schiff from "Law and Order."

Reminds me of the descriptions of new shows being run past Faye Dunaway in "Network," where each and every description included a character described as "crusty yet benign." :)

Okay, "curmudgeon" doesn't bug me that much but "CRUSTY"? I'm only 30 for god's sake. I hardly have callouses. :p

Hmmm... "Nazi" isn't censored, but "j-e-w" is. What's wrong with this picture?

Ah well, I guess they're still fine-tuning.

Guess I wasn't the only one to notice it, huh?

Still waiting for someone to give me a reasonable explanation (in my mind) as to why J E W is banned.

Good thing my middle initial isn't an E. I'd probably never be able to register! :)

Probably board defaults. This software probably comes with a default file of censored words. I see no reason to censor anything at all, especially since the censorship is easily defeated with spaces, dashes or any number of delimiters which don't impinge meaning.
