Need Help With My Car

Hello

i drive a 1992 bmw 325i automatic

the problem i am having is when i turn the igniton off and remove the key my accessories such as the miles on the dashboard and my radio dont shut off. the accessories are still getting power and this drains my battery and i need a jump everytime i try to go and start it again.

any help would be apreciated..

i dont think it is the battery cause when i turn the igniton off power is still getting to the accessories in the car

i thought it was the ignition but i had it looked at by 2 shops and they cant find the problem.

bad light switch.


ps. make sure its on the off position.

what do you mean by bad light switch?

and it is on the off position

the light switch has three position off, park, and head. this is the only switch there is that stop ur interior lights from being on all the time. if its on the off position then i say there is something wrong with it. for the fuse that feeds it its hot at all times.

my light shuts off what stays on when i turn the ignition off is my miles on my dashboard, my radio, and i am able to put the windows up and down but my l;ights shut off

this is what stay on:
instrument cluster, pass power window switch, driver power window switch, seat heater switches, radio, transmition position indicator light, etc.

yes thats what stays on but how would i go about fixing this

IS the radio stock or aftermarket??? It's normal for the windows to stay on until you open the door. As for the dash lights, you would know if you opened the door and the light were on because there is a horrible buzzer that won't let you forget.

the radio is aftermarket but has been in there since december when i open thedoor i am still able to put the windows up and down and the miles still show on dash and radio remains on.
