does any one have the Chrome Bmw M5 2006 series wheels chromed?? ive seen them all in silver but none in chrome and im just wondering how they look chromed. they might seem to... well you get the point

it is not a factory option nor would I ruin the look of it by doing that. It's a Mcar, not a 7series.

I know there are a few out there...I've only seen one over on m5board.com but don't remember who did it. Either way, the reason most people don't chrome their wheels is chrome is HEAVY! This is a performance vehicle, and to chrome these big 19" wheels would add about 4-5lbs to the rotating mass of each wheel. That would cause a noticeable drop in acceleration and braking performance. Changes for looks are always great for the owner, but I would never do anything with a car like this that would also hurt the performance. Leave that for a non-M car.
