Gary: Will 225/40 fit OEM e46 M3 REAR Wheel?

I have a chance to purchase 4 Pirelli Snowsports at a very cheap price. All 4 are 225/40r 18. I'd like to mount them on stock e46 M3 18" wheels. Will that work? I know the fronts will fit, but not sure about the rears.

The 225/40R18 tires have a rim width range of 8"-9" and your factory M3 wheels are 8" front and 9" rear so this would work. The rears will look pretty stretched but they'll still fit.
