Hi
I have a 1999 328is M- Technic Im new to the forum but i know you should always search before asking. Well ive got alot of insight from this forum and tried a bit but still am not sure. My heat dosent work. I had my thermostat housing replaced with my thermostat yesterday. Im worried they may not have actually replaced the thermostat just the housing so im going to find out tommorow. If they didnt fix the thermostat its probably my problem but assuming they did as they were supposed its fixed........
that being said My Symptoms
My car has no heat..... if the thermostat were stuck open it should take a while to heat correct? my car heats very fast and stays right in the middle of the heat gauge perfectly.. So i started looking into my heat valves well i unplugged them because ive heard if there the problem you unplug them and they will stay open and you should have full heat. i unplug them still no heat. so maybe my valves are stuck shut???????? im not sure if your intake air vs. recirculated runs threw the heat valve but i can hear it switch over and feel the air stop being pulled in under the hood when i swith it to recirculated if it does run threw the heat valve then the valve is still operational i guess.......... never the less my car has no heat and other then that works perfectly any suggestions of what could be wrong or what i could do would be greatly appreciated
Thanks to anyone
