Looking for Winter Package. Is there reason to pick a 7 or 8 inch wide rim? Does one give more clearance? Or is there really no difference? Any information would be helpful.
thanks

More tire means wider wheel. Narrower wheel with the same size tire means worse sidewall control. Wider wheel than tire means great sidewall control, but risk of damage.

7" wide is okay... I think it is the minimum for 225 tires.... I'd prefer 7.5" or 8", but you are within spec on those...
