Friend just picked up a fairly nice 86...e28.....for the most part the car is in OK shape....the things that he is needing are the minor stuff like door locks, window cranks, knobs, etc.

Anyone have a decent place for these used? ebay?

I will be doing the detail on the car this weekend, he paid $150 for the car..it has newer M style rims...so far he is into it for about $500...the fact that he is a mechanic and works for Ford has helped.

Thanks for the help!

Sounds like Ebay is your place., you can also try in the For Sale section of this other forum (by the way, very handy!)

http://www.mye28.com

Try posting a WTB (Want To Buy) ad and you'll get some responses. There is always someone parting out an e28 or two!

Good Luck!

He is most likely referring to Bavarian Auto Recycling (http://www.usedbmwparts.com/)

Steve Haygood is a great source for oem and other parts for the e28.

www.stevehaygood.com

Go to the contact section and give him a call, very good service and great prices.

Also, another place for good oem parts is www.bimmer.com - US representation for BMW Mobile Tradition.
