Gary,

I'm considering 225/50-17 non-rfts with 25.9" diameter winter tires instead of either 215/50-17 with 25.5" diameter tires or 225/45 rfts with 25" diameter tires. I'm thinking that same sized non-rfts may ride with wheels a little closer to the ground due to thinner sidewalls, and I like the idea of moving to a higher series to better protect the wheels, albeit slightly.

A 335xi already rides with a little more clearance between the tires and tirewells than a 335i. Do you see any clearance or space concerns with 225/50-17s on an xi?

TIA,
Michael

The non runflats don't ride any closer to the ground....

215/50R17 has fit well with no issues, but we've had some reports of rubbing with 225/50R17.
