I will be taking delivery of my 328i (non sport) by the first week in January and want to have a snow package ready to be installed upon delivery.

Here is what I've speced out on tirerack so far:

205/55VR16 Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D Blackwall
16x7.5 Sport Edition CD Silver Painted
Tire Pressure Sensor (w/ valves)

All in all, it comes to $980 with shipping (wish shipping wasn't $87, otherwise I would have opted for Tirerack's Road Hazzard warranty, but I really can't afford it on top of everything else!)

Questions are as follows:
1. What do you think about my order?
2. How do i get BMW center caps to replace the ugly ones on the Sport Editions??

Try searching "BMW wheel center cap" at amazon.com, I got mine there.

Thanks! Just sent them an e-mail asking if they would fit. Going to check out some alternatives to TireRack (local stores) to see if I can compensate for shipping costs, otherwise I'll place the order.

BMW caps do not fit those wheels, sorry. You might try to source some stick-on logos from Ebay though.

Gary, can you tell me what 16" wheels the caps do fit on?

None in 16" that fit this car unfortunately... sorry.

I think the stick-on logo will be the way to go in this case.

Gary, would there be any benefit for me if I moved up to 17" wheels other than being able to fit the center cap? I like the 17" wheel choices much better, but after all, these are for winter tires...

MMbmw, if you couldn't find centercaps that fit, consider buying centercap decals from amazon.com; actually that's what I did. They look like the real one.

I think that's what I'll do. Do you know what size I should get (they have 58mm and 64.5)? How weather proof are they?

Other than cosmetics and slightly better steering response I can't think of many advantages of stepping up to 17" for winter use.

I use the 64.5mm on my 17" Rial Salerno. Your wheels might have different diameter though.
I can't comment on the weatherproof question yet (only a few weeks of usage so far), but I can tell for sure that the main concern won't be on the decal itself, but on the adhesive. When in doubt, you can always apply them w/ additional epoxy glue.
