X3 staggered set-up

Hi Gary, I have a 06 X3 w/sport pkg and the 18" staggered wheel set. It's almost time for new tires, and there is not a huge choice for tires. Currently I have the Dunlop's, but really liked the Pirelli Scorpions on my last X3. What would I be losing if I change wheels to the 8 x 18 and went with the Scorpions? Thanks!
