First time changing wheels. 1996 318is with stock 15" rims. I want to go to 17" chrome rims, preferably BMW OEM but I'll take a good deal on aftermarkets. I'm not using this car as a performance car. I use it as a daily driver (except in the winter) going to work, malls, everywhere. On long rides on city roads, will my hands become numb and the suspension fall to pieces if I go to with 17's? I know the car may be a little slower by going with 17's but I don't care about that. Also, how much will my speedometer be off is there going from 15's to 17's? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

go for it man 17's are nice they fit perfect on my car. i didnt have a problem changing my tires to a bigger size. the ride was almost the same and i have no idea how much slower it is compare to stock wheels. i didnt feel a lot of difference speedwise. the only reason why my car ride so bumpy is when i replace the stock springs to a lowering springs. it sure looks good but, if u dont want that bumpy ride i suggest not to lower your car. thats only my opinion tho based on my expirience, till then you can do whatever you want to your car.............love my car!!!;)

Thanks for the reply! I love the 17"s. Too bad BMW didn't make a 17" all brushed aluminum rim. I guess I'll have to go with all chrome.
