Our 328i convertible has a factory am/fm cassette, I would like to add a factory CD player, is this fairly simple to do ? I prefer to do it myself.
Thanks!

I think you should have the wiring there already, just buy the changer and attach the harness I think...my car didn't come with the CD changer but the wiring is all there in the trunk (left side), but it might be a BMW Business Radio option only since thats what I have

OK, question.... Do you want to install a CD Changer, or do you want to change the head unit to a CD player? The wiring for the changer should be in the trunk, and if you want a CD Radio, thats plug and play as well.

Thank you for the info, it says it is pre-wired on the left side in the trunk. I assume its behind the inside cover ? I want to add the CD changer.

the wiring for the changer in the convertible will be behind the trunk trim panels, not sure if it's on the right or left side though.

it's on the left side. It's behind the carpet panels, there should be a little grommet there that the harness pulls through, if not just remove the carpet piece and you'll see everything.
