Daily driver... not quite as valuable as yours at this point. ;)
I actually saw a 550i out on my drive to work today... he got "trapped" and had to go through a HUGE ice/snow/slush puddle... I felt bad for the guy and slowed down to make sure that he was okay even though I saw the car plow through it quite stable (would I do this for another car??) lol
The RWD with all this torque, even with good snow tires is a bit of a liability at times in this weather.
What's your "winter beater"?

How is the 335xi in the winter? The AWD must be a dream.

Before I picked up my car, they gave me a 328xi loaner to keep until my car arrived. I drove the 328xi up to Rama (snow covered on 11 and 12) and the car drove like it was on rails. The only thing slowing me down was other cars on the road. Unbelieveable. The 335xi hasn't seen snow yet since it's never snow big since I got the car.
My daily driver is an 2006 Acura TL and when you compare the 2 side-by-side... I'm already VERY confident that the 335xi will handle a hundred times better. The TL gets stuck at the end of my driveway when they plow the street and I haven't shovelled it right to the asphalt. The xi just drove over it like it had spikes on the tires. I'll tell you what I think when we have the next big 30 cm snow fall. haha
