Phone Question

Riddle me this-

How do you enter phone extensions on non-navigation models. I know you use the radio digit pads; however, I cannot remember how to make it work. I have tried, but I get no where. When I am on the road I cannot pick up my phone messages unless I use my actual phone...which defeats the purpose of the bluetooth.

Is there a button that works as "NR"? That's the way it is on my mom's 325i.

No, I don't think so. The 325 and 38 have totally different radio/phone systems.
