Since it's being held at my house this year, I'm kinda just sitting around scanning the boards until it's time to cook later.

Yeah, we need a 'normal' life too. But I try to keep it as short as possible :D

Hmm, cook? What're you gonna cook Ed?

I am too celebrating at home. So I'll be checking out the Boards from time to time.

You guys have a great X-Mas!:)

I just got back from the beach taking surf pics and now have to get ready for dinner with the family. Am I the only one with a dysfunctional family? I can't stand the holidays with them! Always chaos and confusion, screaming and yelling and after, ohÖ say 5 minutes hate each other for yet another year. Canít wait till Jan. 2 when itís all over!

Well, first, I'm only cooking because my wife hasn't been feeling great. I don't consider myself a cook, unless you think burritos are a delicacy :)

My wife's parents are staying here with us, so we'll do an pseudo-Italian dinner tonight and tomorrow. Tonight it'll be antipasto and spaghetti w/oil and garlic. Tomorrow, lasagne and whatever else we can scrounge up.

We have been prepping for two days already:

We made Borsch, Pirozhki as a pre-meal.

Today we'll roast a whole chicken and make the rest of the dishes (salads, dessert, etc).

Lots of mess, but the smells are amazing. :D

Just got back from dinner w/ the family. Short and sweet! The best part was driving there in the bimmer :) Not too much happened, a little mud slinging but I ignored it and right at the end my dad asked my brother to come over tomorrow and fix something and boy did he get pissed so I made my exit. Well I drove home and processed the surf pics (I shoot .nef if you know about it) and opened the card my parents gave me. Now I know why my brother was on edge, letís just say the economy must have effected them this past year :( and thatís that. I guess no more obligations for the rest of the season and Iím free to do what I want. Prolly go to a friends house in Ft. Lauderdale tomorrow for dinner. Latter all and be safe out there, aight?

I'm in Eagan, Minnesota, at my parents' house. Brought my dog with me so I'm less bored... had a BIG family thing today, my dog was again the focus of attention of everybody. I don't have a broadband connection here so it takes too much effort to check the boards.... =) will be back to Austin on the 31st and i'll definitely be on often the week after new year. =)

Merry Christmas and happy new year to y'all!
