As most of you know by now, our deliveries at the Performance Center are limited by the number of product advisors available for that day. If you have chosen the European Delivery...many of you may NOT need the product overview with a Product Advisor which means it might be possible for the European customer to take delivery a few days early. In short, if you are a ED customer that does NOT need the product overview...you should convey that to your client advisor in hopes to speed up your Performance Center Delivery date. You should be advised that if you have chosen this method of delivery...there will not be a Product Advisor to help you with Bluetooth pairing, Navigation, etc. However, you would still be able to take part in the on-course driving and Zentrum tour.

In my case, the PC date was set after the car cleared customs in NJ and went to the VDC. Even though I asked for "expedited delivery," the date is Jan 25 -- more than a month after the car was available in the US, and more than a month after dealers in the region had delivered other ED cars to their owners. (ED 14 Nov, drop-off 17 Nov in Munich, at port in NJ 11 Dec, PCD 25 Jan.)

If your definition of "Expedited Delivery" is that you do not need a vehicle overview, your CA did not relay that information to us on your reservation form.

I show you getting a vehicle overview on the 25th with a Product Advisor. If you don't need that, let your CA know so he can notify the person that handles our scheduling and maybe she can move your date up as long as we will have the vehicle in time. If you do need someone going over the vehicle with you, the 25th is currently the first available date.

I just checked and your vehicle was released by the VPC today. It usually takes about a week to get the vehicle here was the truck leaves (depending on how many stops they have between NJ and SC). We would then need another couple of days to have our shop PDI the vehicle and get it detailed.

Hope this helps!

Howdy PCD folks: I dropped my car off in Munich on 12/16 and hoping to get my car at the PCD sometime in Feb. The local cca group here requires a Snell 2000 helmet to get on the course. Do I need one for the course at the PCD? Or will it be a little more 'civilized?' :D Just a little paranoid after someone here just broke 2 vertebrae in an accident....

No helmet needed for the driving portion for PCD guests (we keep it civilized but still fun ).

The only driving school we require a helmet for is the Advanced M School. That is usually held offsite at a race track and with 150+ mph speeds, it can get Un-Civilized quickly :bigpimp:

Yes what Donny and Jonathan say is extremely true. Dropped off Bremerhaven 11/5, Made port 11/26, PCD 12/21. No overview needed, which is why my date was so soon. Also these guys are great. It was definitely worth the extra 2 week wait. I would have had the car back 2 weeks earlier, but the PCD needs the car at least 2-3 weeks before you take delivery. I still got the car at least a month earlier than had I needed an overview.

My write up is coming. Those guys are a beast w/ the M5. Oh yeah when Donny says BRAKE, BRAKE, BRAKE, BRAKE, BRAKE, BRAKE, BRAKE.....Do it!!!!!!!:rofl::roundel::roundel:
