If travelling alone or with 1 person, you could take the subway, Welt is on the subway map. Subway is 5 mins from the Marriott and the station will leave you right at the Welt.
If more than 2 people take a cab, approx 10 Euros.

Use the subway and only 10 min away. The subway is 5 min walk from your hotel. Its a piece of cake and the hotel can give you easy instructions.

I will try to look this up, but my recollection is you take the U6? south towards Marienplatz, but get off at the second stop to transfer to a U__ that will take you north and west to Olympiazentrum. I have not yet done this, but will be doing it in 11 days.:) I believe that a 3-Day Partnerkarte for up to five adults is 21 Euros - this can be used in the central area. The Ein-Tage Partnerkarte is 9E.

U-6 to U-3 transfer at Münchner Freiheit of course.

Not only does he know Muenchener U-bahn schedules, he produces the only Official Bimmerfest 2008 Calendar!
and although I haven't personally confirmed it, I believe that all of the dates are in the right order, too.
Order your JSpirational 2008 Bimmerfest Calendar today! I mean, right NOW!

we took a cab (MB)... took 10 mins and 10 euros... For the two of us; u-tickets would have costed 5 euro.. so taking a cab made sense.

We took a cab, mostly because we wanted to be there at 8am and we were running late. But I'd say it's really worth the 10 Euros, espacially if it's raining/snowing on that day.
