I am in the market for a Z4 M Coupe, preferably Interlagos/Black int, heated seats only.

1) Just confirmed with the dealer this morning that the $3,500 marketing support on '08 models is also available if ordering the car

2) Dealer mentioned that they are not seeing any '07 cars in the system. They mentioned that dealers bought all of the remaining '07 cars to take advantage of the $7,500 marketing support that ran through 12/07 and that takes the cars off the system

Question for you:
What is the best way to search dealer inventories nationally? There must be some '07 M Coupes left over that match my criteria. I would like to look into negotiating a deal for those and weigh that against getting an '08 model.

Basically call every dealer in NA and see what they got.
I doubt you will find one to meet your criteria.
I would order an '08.

Yep, searched Autotrader - it seems that all available M Coupes have the PP/Nav etc. and a ton of stuff that I don't want. I think the '08 marketing support came out right on time for me  It's likely that BMW NA will sweeten that deal in the second half of the year like they did in '07 but all the available cars would be fully loaded and would not be a better deal for me so it's probably not worth the wait. Game on!

Yep, in my search of 20 or so M Coupes, I only found one that wasn't fully loaded/almost fully loaded. The only option it had was bluetooth, however it wasn't in the color I wanted. Pretty much every other one had PP, heated seats, and nav.

Autotrader and the phone are the way to find them. By retailing all the 07s, no dealer can search for them anymore.

Getting one with heated seats only will be real hard. You may find heated seats and PP, but that will come with the $2500 charge on it.

So what fees did you guys have to pay for the M Coupe? There's the $180 training fee, OK, but one of the dealers I spoke with is quoting a $380 documentation fee, a $280 delivery fee (to clean and prep the car) and $120 for the mats. That's a load of crap, methinks...

Ye thinks right. The way they are nickel and diming you, me thinks your dealer is also in the mortgage business.

Documentation fee and mats are spot on. Although most dealerships throw them in for free (mats that is). The $280 detail is weird though, it is usually $750ish or nothing.
