Hoping somebody who is saavy with CA laws can chime in here.
I bought my vehicle about three months ago in CA (am an AZ resident), but, now CA has notified Arizona that I need an "Affadavit of Repossession."
I bought my vehicle from an individual who had purchased it through an Auction at Century West BMW (?? - I believe that was the place that was stated on the title). According to the DMV the P.O. was supposed to have received the affadavit when he purchased the car through the auction, but he did not mention the affadavit, nor did the repossession show up on Carfax. I have been unsuccessful in reaching him as he will not respond to my email and he has set his phone to not receive incoming calls.
Any suggestions on what I can do?
I plan on calling CA DMV Monday, but, like to get ideas on what I'm stepping into.
