DIY - Battery change (parts 1 and 2)

Had a few problems getting the battery changed at the stealership, so decided to do it myself. Just an awful lot of trim to remove, otherwise fairly straight forward.

Anyone following the pictures does so at own risk.

The guy at BMW said the ecu would need to be reprogrammed after disconnecting the battery ( I think he was trying it on), so i connected a spare battery to the jump start terminals under the bonnet whilst changing the battery.

I don't think that this is strictly necessary but at least it saved having to reset the clock and trip computer.

( Continued in part 2, couldn't get all the pictures in one post.)
