Here's a thread to Lucid's estimates:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107163
BTW, the thread should have BMWUSA, mixed up the letters 'cause of low (sedan) pricing

I would say I nailed the pricing pretty dead on. Obviously the CF roof adds a great deal to the pricing of the coupe (even thought the SR is a NCO).

Is there an option for the 135 brakes?
A 65K M car getting outbraked by a lowly 135 with a hamster engine on the track, a truely WTF moment.
3600 pounds, check, no brakes, check.
400HP would be killer if the car was still 3350 like its predecessor, throw on the 135 brakes, even better.
Instead, it's this over weight and underbraked POS that they had the balls to charge 65K large for one?
A brand new Z06 is 8K under sticker, a 2002/3 996 Turbo in great condition is also this much.
Both will spank the crap out of this sorry car that is unworthy of the M3 badge.
Sad really, and I have had three M3's in the last nine years.:thumbdwn:
thats an awesome price. you guys are lucky.
A brand new Z06 is 8K under sticker,
this option is good only if you sport a molester mustache :p

I have had three M3's, and I would rather take the baggage of the Vette than be ripped off by BMW with this POS.
3600 pounder with Scheiße for brakes?
400HP is only fast when the car does not come with the mandatory 200 pound lar option.:thumbdwn:

Is it true it doesn't come standard with leather, kind of odd for a $60,000 car?

It never did in E46. It's because many prefers the leather/cloth, leather/alcantara seats better suited for spirited driving and tracking. Hell, many spec'ed their E46 M3 without sunroof! The horror.:yikes:
The fact that you ask this question is telling of the new M3 demographic.

Cool, I was seeing $62k being kicked around as base. Nice to see mid-$55k starting price for the sedan.

3 series sedans are always cheaper. Plus the coupe has the CF roof as standard.

Does anyone have any good interior shots of the Fox Red interior? I will be ordering my AW/Fox Red coupe very soon as soon as I get the call from the dealer. However I have seen a couple shots where the Fox Red looks almost orange like. Im not sure if its just poor resolution or what, but it doesnt sit well with me. I love the deep red, like the Coral Red and Imola Red, and I am hoping the Fox Red is the same. Can anyone post or help me find high quality pics or even better has anyone seen the Fox Red in person? What are your thoughts. How different is it from the other 2 reds. Hoping that it is not orange looking in fact...

Is it true it doesn't come standard with leather, kind of odd for a $60,000 car?
Although in the last year of the E46 M3 Coupe (MY2006) leather was standard (it was always standard in the Convertible), it looks like this time BMW wants to keep the base price artificially low by going back to the way it was before MY2006, half leather, half cloth seats as the standard trim...

Interesting. I thought they were out already. I was tailing an M3 Sedan with Irvine BMW tags. WE were heading south on the 405.
