Driving on the freeway it seems that the car is "wobbling" for lack of a better word.
Any idea of what it might be?

Does it happen when braking? If so, this is normal... sort of, BMW can't figure it out and the theory is it's the X-drive and ABS causing it.
If it's not when braking then you probably have a tire out of balance or "out of round".

No, it is not when braking. I think is a balance problem. I am taking it to the dealer next week.

May just be your tires/wheels need balancing.

wobbling is sort of vague... can you be a tad more descriptive?

It was actually a good description of this problem on another forum.
" I do, however, notice a slight tendency at highway speeds not to track as straight . There seems to be a need to make slightly more steering correction than in the other SUV. It does not pull one way or the other, but wanders very slightly"
I think more and more that it needs to be balanced.

Also have them check your alignment. You also say it's not tracking straight...

The wobbling occurs when the wheels are not balanced or if they are simply out of round (highly unlikely). Definitely check the balancing at your nearest tire shop. Good luck.
