The new M3 Cabrio (http://www.bmw2002.co.uk/news.html)is reported to be the first to feature BMW's 7-speed double clutch transmission which will carry the label "M DKG" and is very similar to Volkswagen's six speed DSG transmission which uses 2 computer controlled switches to make shift changes both quicker and smoother. The 0 to 60mph time lies at 5.3 seconds which is 0.4 seconds slower than the coupe, largely due to the extra weight of the retractable roof.
Expect to see the M3 Cabrio in the flesh until Geneva in March this year.
