Okay, so we know that BMW NA has given us Dark Blue Dakota as a priority 1 interior option, but now they've added two new colors:
Neptune Blue
AND
Barbera Red
I gotta say, a red has been long overdue. I'm looking forward to pics.
I haven't seen Neptune, but from the international website, it looks brighter than Deep Sea Blue.
That is all.

Barbera Red is a big addition. Too bad it's a little late for me.
Thanks for the update.

Wow, thanks, Asteroid. That looks really nice. It seems that the www.bmw.com visualizer makes it out to appear darker than the pic you posted though.

Yep, too late for me, too! I would have preferred the Atlantic Blue and even asked my CA if I could get it because the car was a Munich ED (I was able to get Biarritz Blue on my 1998 540). No dice!
Both of these colors are better than the Monaco Blue, IMHO.

Awesome. Thanks again for posting this, Adrian.
Just confirmed: Changed my order from Monaco Blue to Barbera Red. I'm feeling really lucky -- my car is currently Status 112, but my delivery date is 2/28/08.
that is a very sporty blue. i wonder how it goes with the blue leather. maybe made for each other. soon they'll be offered together but only in a package. wonder what else will come in the package and what the name of it will be.

The ones I posted were from the configurator in the Canadian site. In bmw.com, Neptune blue looks a lot darker, maybe similar to Mystic blue.

Red! Yesssss!
Edit: I just checked, Barbera Red is not so hot. At least on the website. I wish they would give us Imola Red. BMW Germany can get them :(

Love Barbara Red, Wished it was there when I ordered,
As it is a priority-1, does it costs more than other metallics?
Imola Red is girlish and womanish......

Too burgundy for me.....more difficult to keep clean than black, IMO.

Thanks for the information. If anyone has a picture of a Bimmer in Neptune Blue please post it. I don't really trust the "Build your own BMW" pictures for color. They make my Montego Blue look weird.
Has Neptune Blue been used before? Or is this just a different name for Deep Sea Blue (they are both Nautical?) This thread has made me reconsider my plan to get Deep Sea Blue on a future 535i. If I had a choice on any color on my future 5'er, it would be Atlantic Blue.

Barbera Red looks like Chick Purple.....sorry.
+1 makes me think of two buck chuck or something. On the other hand, it may look great in person. Bronze doesn't look so great in the configurator but in person it looks understated and elegant.
The other day I saw an X5 with the color kinda like the Barbera red. It looked very nice.
I was a bit confused because BMW currently doesn't offer X5 in that color. Maybe in the previous generation (the style looks somehow like the current gen).
This is a more mature red color, IMO more suitable for the 5.

Me too. My sales guy says he has checked every resource and no new colors will be in the US until the 09 run. I'm not sure what that means, other than I am stuck with Deep Sea Blue which I think will look cool, just not as cool as Le Mans Blue.

Thanks for the shout-out and for the pics  You da man! I just still can't decide what to do:mad: It looks "different" but I can't tell if it has more hues of blue, green, or gray :dunno:
Is this a special order car or an inventory car? Just curious.
Thanks again...regardless of my indecisiveness, that car still looks great!

Not so attractive as my deep sea blue 528i. The deep sea blue looks great on sunny day and at night (looks kind of purple too).
