First off let me apologize for starting another thread on the automatic transmission issue with the 2007 and 2008 X3.

I will be taking my 2008 X3 (build date of 9/07) into service for the third time to have this issue addressed. I have now reached the service number where my car qualifies for possible replacement or reimbursement under the Virgina lemon law. Not sure that I will take this action but I want to start collecting as much information as I can.

To that end, I would like to ask if anyone has any resources at all they could point me to that relates to this issue? Any place I can get copies of the service bulletins from BMW? Any consumer web sites where complaints about this particular issue (other than Bimmerfest obviously) are cataloged? Anything at all that may eventually help me in a case if I decide to proceed.

I appreciate any assistance and again sorry for yet another post on this issue.

you can buy a 1-day subscription to the Service Bulletin website at

http://www.bmwtis.com
search for the X3 and you will find all the SIBs you need. Those of us that have them already cannot post them as it is part of the agreement when you pay.

do a google search for VA lemon law and I'm sure you will find plenty of information.
