2008 x3 Body Style Question

Hi. I am coming off a 2006 lease and am getting ready to order a new 2008 x3 before the body style changes in 2009.

Question though... I want to make sure that the front and read bumpers are the same color as the car - NOT black. This now seems to be called the Full Body aerodynamic kit with painted side skirts and is part of the sports package. Any way just to order this, as I do not like the steering wheel in the sports package and just want the darn bumpers to match.

Anything else that you would recommend I do and don't order...I plan to have this car for 5-7 years.

The redesign won't happen until MY2010 when production shifts from Graz, Austria to SC, USA.

The standard bumper treatment changed from MY2006 to MY2007 and are not as obtrusive as the earlier models. You can view this change on BMW's website.

The only way to get color matching bumpers without ordering the sport pkg. would be to use aftermarket kits.

actually MY2011 is more likely. Though it would come out in 2010.

It is a "mix" of black and body colour on the fenders and bumpers, unless you get the sport model.
