E36 Reset

I know in my BMW MINI, there was an option to reset all electronic components via the odometer menu - is this possible with the E36?

Also, is there a process to reset the automatic gearbox? And does anybody know if this box has launch control?

Your MINI is obviously a much newer car than your '96 3-series, and there will clearly be differences in what can or can not be done. However, check this for information on what you can with the odometer display:
