I am installing e46 power seats in my wife's 318ti. I have so far rewired the sensors and heaters so that everything will work as it was intended with the original manual seats. However, when I got to powering up the motors in the seats, I was surprised to see that the car was not prewired for power seats. My intent is to connect the new wiring so that it goes through the fuses usually used for the seats but getting from the passenger side of the car to the fuse box on the driver's side will be a challenge without disassembling half the interior.

Has anyone added wiring to their e36 for power seats? Where did you tie in to the wiring system? Is there a power source behind the glovebox that is hooked up to the correct fuse on the other side of the car? I presently have the glovebox out to do some other repairs and there is a sizeable mess of wiring back there but tracking down the correct connection (if it exist) will be a pain.

Thanks,
Tony
