2006 5sp auto -
I only drive 2 miles to work (2 stop sights, one light). I drove to Colorado this summer and did ~80 mph and got between 26 and 27 mpg. It might be because it's cold out, but I've been getting close to 12 these past few weeks. :tsk: Makes me want a Mini Cooper.

2007 X3 3.0si AT - I'm getting an average range of 19.5 to 21 mpg in mixed driving. Highway nets me around 24. City driving is around 18.5. All in all, not too bad, and at around 50% better mileage than my former daily driver ('06 F250 SuperCrew Diesel), not to mention that gas is around $0.50 less than diesel fuel, I'm loving it.

2006 with 12000 miles ... I am getting about 20 day in day out, with a max of 29 on the jersey turnpike this evening ... flat, dry, doing about 72!
I am enjoying my car ... although I have had it 10 weeks and have only driven it 2500 miles. And 450 of that was this weekend to Baltimore and back.
