Single tap felt on brake pedal on startup

So, I am totally new to BMWs and I own a 1996 328IS. When i start the car (cold or warm doesn't matter. I feel a single dull "tap" on the pedal on startup only). From then on, I do not feel anything else.

It almost feels like when the ABS would be kicking in on hard braking...but just a single tap on the pedal. I have read the other threads about multiple taps on the pedal, mine is just a single tap.

Any ideas?

Normal. It is the ABS performing a self test & charging the pressure reservoir.
